Adai Upuma

This is a very different upuma. Ingredients: 1. Raw rice- 1 cup 2. Urad dhal- 1/4 cup 3. Channa dhal- 1/4 cup 4. Red chillies- 5 or 6 To saute: Mustard seeds-1/2 tbsp, curry leaves- few, cumin seeds-1/2 tbsp, hing 5. Onion- 1 finely chopped 6. Grated coconut- 4 tbsp 7. Salt as required. How to make: 1. Soak the ingredients (1-4) for about 2 hours and grind coarsely adding salt, cumin seeds with lil water. 2. In a thick bottom pan, add oil, ingredients for sauting, onion, grated coconut and fry well. 3. Then add, the blended mixture and keep stirring until it reaches the upuma consistency.

Celery Soup

Celery is very good for avoiding memory loss. This is a very simple healthy soup. Ingredients: 1. Celery- 6 finger length pieces 2. Lemon- 1/2 3. Corn flour- 1 tbsp 4. Pepper powder- 1/2 tbsp. In a blender, grind the celery pieces and filter the extract. Now boil it in a sauce pan, adding 1 glass of water. Add pepper powder. When the mixture starts boiling, add salt. Mix cornflour in 1/2 glass of water and add to the boiling soup. Switch off the stove after 2 mins and add lemon juice and serve.
