Puli Pongal or Tamarind Pongal

1.Take 1 cup of Raw rice. Rinse in water.
2.Take a big lemon size of tamarind and extract the juice.Add 2 cups of tamarind juice to 1cup of rice.
3,Now saute mustard, redchillies,turmeric powder,curry leaves chenna dhal and asafoetida and add to the rice and tamarind juice mixture.
4. Pressure cook for 4 whistles.
5. Add salt, 1 tbsp of gingelly oil and serve with Pappadam
