Paruppu Podi (Aabath baandava :)-

This is my mother's recipe, although there are several versions to this.

1. Moong Dhal- 1 cup
2. Toor Dhal- 1 cup
3. Channa dhal- 1 cup
4. Urad dhal- 1/2 cup
5. Pepper corns- 1 tbsp
6. Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp

Dry roast the dhalls and grind all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
Some people use red chillies, while my mother uses pepper corns.
