Ragi Mudda/ Ragi Balls

Ragi/Finger millet flour is available widely in India and also in countries like Malaysia/Singapore.

This recipe is from Karnataka state of India.

Recipes involving Ragi are good for curing/controlling Diabetes.

Here is a quick recipe. It took less than 15 minutes to prepare this.

Ragi Balls with Brinjal Gothsu

Ingredients:

Ragi flour- 1 cup
Salt- as needed
Cooked rice- 1/4 cup

Soak Ragi flour in water for about 4 hours. 

In a wide bottomed pan, add Ragi Flour batter, add salt and mix well.

Add 1 glass of water and cook it.

Keep the stove in slow flame, add the cooked rice (mash it before adding).

Mix well and add 2 tbsp of oil and keep mixing well.

Once all water evaporates, switch off the stove and make the balls.

This can be served with Sambar/chutneys.
