Verkadalai Chutney (Peanut/Groundnut Chutney)
Roasted Groundnut is the favourite roadside snack for anyone.
This groundnut chutney is very yummy and can be used as a spread for sandwiches, and also as a sidedish for Idli, Dosa, Upma, Chapathi etc.
I took one cup of groundnuts, roasted them until the color of the outer skin changed to brown.
I let it to cool. Then I used my fingers and kept kneading through the groundnuts.
I used a broader plate (resembling a muram) and kept shaking it, until the husk moves to a corner.
I took only the groundnuts without the skin. To this I added a small pinch of tamarind and red chillies to get the final product, the Nutricious Groundnut Chutney.
