Crunchy Onion Pakoda- Simple Tips to get it right!
Onion Pakoda is a common snack in all parts of India. The secret to make it crunchy, lies in the right proportion of mixing the ingredients and getting the dough right.
I usually use around 3 cups of besan (gram flour), add 3 table spoons of rice flour, 4-5 Minced Garlic pods, 2 tablespoons of Fennel, 2 tablespoons of red chilli powder, 2 cups of finely chopped onions.
Do not add water first. Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl and add salt.
Add 3 tablespoons of finely chopped green coriander leaves
Now, heat up oil in a pan and add around 2 tablespoons of hot oil and mix the dough nicely.
Keep it tight like chapathi dough. Now, take small amounts of the mixture and use your fingers to spread the dough in the hot oil.
This is nice and yummy when served with hot tea. Enjoy!
