Ola Pakoda or Ribbon Muruku
Happy Deepavali!
Ingredients:
1.Rice flour - 2 cups ( any brand)
2.Moong dhal - half cup
3.Urad dhal- 1/4 cup
4.Channa dhal- 1/4 cup
5. Salt- as needed
6.Butter - 2 tbsp
7.Black sesame seeds- 2 tbsp
8.Red chilli powder - 1 or 2 tbsp
9.Oil - for frying
10.Hing- a pinch
Procedure
1.Roast all dhal in a pan one by one until you get the smell of the dhal
2.Cool and powder all the dhal in a blender and sieve.
3.Measure 3/4 of the sieved powdered dhal and transfer to the mixing bowl
4.Add two cups of rice flour,and butter and mix well
5.Then add sesame seeds,chilli powder,salt and hing and add water slowly and make a dough
6.Keep oil in a pan to fry. Use the blades meant to make ribbon muruku.
7.Keep in medium flame and make muruku.
8.Cook both sides and transfer to an airtight container.
