OmaPodi (Crunchy Sev)






Proportion: 2 cups of Besan and 1/2 cup of Rice flour, 1/4 cup of cooking oil, salt as needed.

Mix all the above with hand.

Soak 3 tbsp of Ajwain and 2 pods of garlic. Grind it in a mixie and filter the mixture using a sieve and add.

Mix the batter nicely to chapathi consistency. Use the Muruku mould with thin holes and fill about half of the batter.

Use a thick bottom pan, add oil. Once the oil is hot, press the batter. Wait until the bubbles reduce to ensure you get crisp omapodi.
