Nartha Ilai Podi- Veppilai Katti- Pickle with Citron and Curry leaves
This is a simple yet rare recipe. It is delicious when served with curd rice.
Red chillies- 10
Citron leaves- 1cup
Tamarind- 1 gooseberry size
Hing- 1 tbsp
Salt- as needed
Wash the citron leaves and let it dry in a cloth.
Remove the vein in the middle of the leaves.
Grind all the above, without adding water. Check the salt and spice levels and adjust as per your taste.
You will be able to shape them into such balls and you can store them in refrigerator upto 5 months.
This is for consumption in very small quantity only.
